October Kerr Lake Fishing Report by Dennie Gilbert
Dennie Gilbert
We’re starting October with a hurricane and that means a lot of extra water. The Corp had dropped the lake levels but at this writing I’m waiting to see how much it will rise. If it doesn’t rise much in the bushes look to use poppers, buzz baits ,whopper Plopper and maybe fluke, spin baits and vibrating jigs around stumps, rocks and any cover that has bait in the vicinity. There should be some fish in the 10’ to 25’ range or deeper. Use worms, jigs, shakey heads and drop shot on these fish. Cover lots of water at different depths with lots of baits to find success. Good luck, be safe and don’t forget the life jacket! Kerr lake bass.com email, call or text for a good day on the water. Fishing, techniques or graph instructions.
