Another cold front coming with snow and rain!! We had the Cashion Fishing Rods Sprin g Team Tournament Bass Trail Qualifier #3 at Falls Lake anyway because the radar gav e us a break with just rain at the weighin. The weather for the 42 teams was not too bad with winds very  light for most of the day , the air temps ranged from 32 to 49 and the water level  was right at 252. Surface water temps averaged 50 degrees depending where you were on the lake! The fish were caught  in 2 to 10 foot of water. Water needs to warm up a few more degrees and that should be coming soon!!

Mark Willis & Mike Eggers, found the hot spot and caught only 4 keepers but they were nice ones weighing a total of 23.75 lbs. to take 1st Place and 1st Place Big Fish (8.28 lbs.) for a total of $1,613 in prize money!  Willis on right..Eggers on left.A pound and a half behind was the 2nd Place team of Jaime Fajardo & Josh Hooks landing 5 bass weighing 22.23 lbs. and along with winning the 1st Place TWT they took home $1,113 in winnings. Close behind, the 3rdPlace team of David Walton & Justin Young presented 5 bass weighing 22.12 lbs. to rack up $470 in winnings. The  2nd place Big Fish (7.51 lbs.) was caught by the team of Travis Pomp & Eddie Harris for $252 in winnings!107 bass were brought to the scales for a total of 338 pounds averaging 3.16 lbs. each. Shallow running crankbaits,  chatterbaits, jerk baits, spinner baits & Jigs in the more shallow water seemed to be the lures of choice.I want to thank Cashion Fishing Rods and all the anglers that participated.
