Lloyd & John Sanderlin Win CATT Tidewater Perquimans River, NC Mar 30, 2024

47 boats took off on the Perquimans River this morning under a beautiful sky and high hopes of big bags of springtime bass. Well Mother Nature and those bass were quick to give the anglers a reality check! Hard to say what caused the bite to be so tough. It seems like even though it’s March 30th the fish are biting like its March 1st. Most teams reported that the the bite was just off today. The team of Lloyd Sanderlin and John Sanderlin were able to figure them out around midday and secure the win with a 5 fish limit weighing 17.83 lbs anchored by a 5.55 lb big fish good enough for a $2450 payday!!Wayne Hayes and Andy Morath wrapped up second place with a limit weighing 14.14 lbsThe following teams rounded out the money winners.3rd Brian Cooper/Heath Parker 14.12 lbs4th Tyler Jones/Kevin Jones 13.72 lbs5th Joe “Jonar“ Glazebrook/Tyler Glazebrook 13.11 lbs6th Hunter Holloman/Tommy Houlroyd 12.86 lbs7th Austin Hughes/Holden Northcott 12.64 lbs8th Eugene Foushee/Brandon Johnson. 12.40 lbs9th Cameron Johnson/Jordan Norris 11.72 lbsBig fish was a 7.54 lber caught by Nathan Welch which was good for $470!Our next tournament will be Saturday April 13th out of Pembroke creek.
