June 2022 Pamlico Sound Fishing Report by Capt. Scooter Lilley
With temps getting warmer down east , the fish go shallower ! Right where I want em! The largemouth bite has been unbelievable the last couple of years on the Albermarle Sound, it’s been taking a limit weighing in at 25 plus lbs to win a tournament. I go after the bigs mainly with top waters up shallow, it only seems to get better as the summer months move on. I primarily fish the Roanoke river, Albermarle sound and it tributaries which all have big numbers of fish. If your down this way or would like to experience a different world give me a call I’m sure I can show you a great trip! 252-798-9536. Another great day of fishing we have to offer is our inshore speckled trout and slot red fishing. This year the waters are full of keeper size fish and we are catching them. My favorite ways to target these fish are with a Zara spook or a Zman swim bait. It’s a great trip for all ages with plenty of action, be sure to bring a cooler for your daily catch. Hope everyone has a great summer and a lot fun! Hope to see you on the water. 252-799-9536 CWW Inshore Charters
