The Cashion Fishing Rods ‘End of Year’ Team Tournament Bass Fishing Trail Qualifier #1 at Falls Lake got off to a great start with 46 hard hitting teams showing up at the ramp. The weather for summer fishing was great. The winds were light & variable, the air temps ranged from 74 to 89 and the water level was at normal pool of 251′. Surface water temps averaged 88 warm degrees! The topwater bite was on for about an hour early on andthen the bass backed off to dropoffs around the 15′ range. The summer pattern is now here! Now you have to know how to fish deep!! That’s the key to success this time of year.

They also won 2nd place TWT to take home a total of $1,040. The 3rd Place Team of Britten O’Quinn & Jason Suggs netted 5 bass weighing 20.96 and won $515. 2nd Place Big Fish (6.70 lbs.) was caught by the team of David Wright & Scott Faulkner worth $270. 126 bass were brought to the scales for a total of 419 pounds averaging 3.33 lbs. each.
