Jaime Fajardo & Josh Hooks win PBC Spring Team Trail Qualifier #4 April 13,2019
oPBC ACADEMY SPORTS & OUTDOORS $10K SPRING TEAM BASS TRAIL QUALIFIER #4Saturday April 13th, 2019 ~ ~ Jordan Lake ~ ~ Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp
Forecast scared a lot of folks including me! Had some hard rain at blastoff but then the weather turned good. Most of the bad storms went west of us!! Nice. A great turnout of 82 boats fished the PBC Academy Sports & Outdoors $10K Spring Team Bass Trail Qualifier #4 at Jordan. Surface water temps averaged 68 degrees and the winds ranged from 5 to 10 mph. Air temps were 61 in the am and 76 in the pm. The lake level rose fast from 220 Friday to 222 Saturday night and now (4/14) sits at over 226 and still rising. Wish the rain would stop for a while!! The veteran team of Jaime Fajardo & Josh Hooks caught 5 nice bass weighing a total of 22.34 lbs., which included a 7.82 pounder, to take 1st Place & 1st Place TWT. They also will receive $7,000 in Contingency money from the Triton Boats Gold program for a total of $10,020 in prize money!1st..Fajardo (L) Hooks(R)
The 2nd Place team of Steve Jacobs & Keith Barker came close to winning with 5 bass weighing 20.44 lbs. and alstook Big Fish honors with a good 9.92 pounder!! They had $1,984 in winnings. 3rd Place & 2nd Place TWT was wonby the team of Alan Parker & Don Fuller. Their 5 fish weighed a total of 20.24 lbs. to give them $1,361 in winnings. 2nd Place Big Fish (9.85 lbs.) was won by the team of Keith Deal & Ricky Kenworthy for $1,134. Money got spread around good today again! 141 bass were brought to the scales by 47 of the 82 teams! The bite seems to be getting better but it’s far from being normal for this time of year because of the weather patterns. Jigs, Chatter Baits, crankbaits & spinnerbaits in the more shallow 2 to 6′ of water seemed to be the lures of choice.I want to thank Academy Sports & Outdoors along with all our other sponsors and all the anglers that participated. Our next tournament will be the 30th Annual Tobacco Bass Invitational Saturday April 20th at Falls Lake out ofLedge Rock Wildlife Ramp.
