Hoskins & Mayes Top the filed to win Morris Town Marine on South Holston Lake April 8,2017

HOSKINS AND MAYES TOP THE FIELD TO WIN ON SOUTH HOLSTON LAKE

Morristown Marine Team Trail Invitational was on South Holston Lake on April 8, 2017 with a record 236 Teams competing for the $10,000.00 1st place.

Richie Hoskins (Tazewell, TN) and Ben Mayes (Ewing, VA) came in with 22.21 lbs to take the lead and the $10,000.00 1st place check.  They also had Highest Finishing Lowrance for an additional $500.00 for a total of $10,500.00.

2nd Place went to Chris Sexton (Corryton, TN) and Mason Sexton (Corryton, TN) with 21.66 lbs.  In addition to 2nd place winnings of $3500.00 the team also received 2nd Highest Finishing Lowrance for an additional $500.00 and total winnings of $4000.00.

3rd place went to Archie Wilson (Corryton. TN) and Kevin Edwards (Knoxville, TN) with 20.78 lbs, and a check for $2500.00.

4th place was Clifford Bunch (Tazewell, TN) and Paul Napier (Middlesboro, KY) with 20.65 lbs and a check for $1500.00. They also received 1st Highest Finishing Skeeter $3500.00 for a total of $5000.00

Finishing out the top 5 places was Randy Brown (Moshiem, TN) and Chip Chambers (Elizabethton, TN) with 20.60 lbs. and a check for $1,000.00.

The Jeremy Gordon State Farm Big Largemouth Award went to Brian Stacy and Mark Cox with a 8.31 lb. Largemouth. They received a check for $1115.00 and (2) Rods valued at $200.00

The Jeremy Gordon State Farm Big Smallmouth Award went to Mark Trent and Ricky Shepherd a 6.86 lb. Smallmouth. They received a check for $1115.00 and (2) Rods valued at $200.00.

The (2) Highest Finishing Gray Insurance Agency teams with insurance through Gray Insurance Agency/Nationwide Lafollette, TN were:  Jackie Nicely / Earl Kitts and Steve Bean / Elvin Helton.   Both teams received checks for $250.00

The (2) Highest Finishing teams with Lowrance Electronics received a check for $500.00.  They were Richie Hoskins/ Ben Mayes and Chris / Mason Sexton.

Our next tournament will be April 29, 2017 on Watts Bar Lake out of Tom Fuller Park.  Signups will be taken starting Monday, April 24, 2017 at Morristown Marine.  We will also be taking signups at Jerry’s Bait Shop located at 815 S Gateway Ave, Rockwood, TN 37854 on Friday April 28, 2017 from 11AM-6PM.Thanks for setting a record on South Holston and we will see you on Watts Bar Lake.
