The 2017 PBC Cashion Fishing Rods ‘End of Year’ Trail got off to a good start at Falls Lake. What a great day and a great turnout, with 48 teams fishing for the win!!! The weather was nice for Saturday with air temps around 73 degrees in the am on up to 90 at the 2pm weighin. Water temps averaged about 81 degrees. Winds were nonexistent inthe am up to about 7 mph in the afternoon. There were a lot of bass weighed in today with many over the 4 to 7 lb. range. They were chewin’!!

The team of Elton & Rick Clements won 1st Place, weighing in 5 bass at 27.67 lbs. and also won the 1st Place Tournament within a Tournament (TWT) for a total of $1,895 in winnings. The team said most of their bass were caught off channel points in 10′ or more of depth using rigs with plastics and crankbaits.

Todd Massey & Tim Parker came in 2nd place with 5 fish weighing 23.55 lbs. & also won 2nd Place TWT to pocket atotal of $955. 3rd place team, Chad Emory & Stephen Lasher won $510 with 5 weighin 15.86 lbs. The big fish for theday weighed 8.69 lbs. and was caught by the 8th Place Team of Robert Bristow & Alan Thomerson netting them $672in prize money!!167 fish were weighed in for a total of 544 pounds for an average of 3.26 lbs. each. Most of the larger fish werecaught on Texas rigs, Carolina rigs, Jig combos, slow rolling Spinnerbaits and Crankbaits in 10-15′ of water off mainpoint dropoffs and creek channels.
