BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — B.A.S.S. today announced a partnership with Busch beer, who will be the title sponsor for Bassmaster Elite at Cayuga Lake event June 23-26 out of Union Springs, N.Y.

The tournament pits 107 of the top bass anglers in the world against each other as they compete for the $100,000 first-place prize.

“B.A.S.S. is excited to have Busch join our sponsorship team,” said B.A.S.S. CEO Bruce Akin. “The Busch brand has always had close association with the great outdoors and we’re pleased the company is demonstrating that by joining us at the Cayuga Lake Elite Series event.”

At the Bassmaster Elite Series tournament, Busch will offer fans a chance to win the ultimate fishing getaway with four-time Classic champion Kevin VanDam in its “Catch One. Win Big” promotion, as well as Busch product sampling at the Bassmaster Elite Outdoors Expo.

“Busch beer has a well-established dedication to outdoorsmen who enjoy fishing our nation’s lakes and streams – whether they’re professionals or amateurs,” added Chelsea Phillips, Senior Director, US Value Brands, Anheuser-Busch. “We’re thrilled to serve as the title sponsor of the Bassmaster Elite and look forward to raising a glass to recognize the angler who earns a win at Cayuga Lake.”

For a chance to win, consumers who find one of the 100,000 gold trophy cans randomly seeded in packs of Busch and Busch Light can capture a photo of themselves with the can and submit it online via Busch.com. They’ll then be entered for a chance to win weekly premium prizes including GoPros, sonar systems, tackle boxes, fishing bobbers and more. Five lucky consumers will be awarded the grand prize: the fishing trip of a lifetime to one of four possible destinations to go fishing with professional bass fisherman, Kevin VanDam.

From watching the first boats take off at 6:15 a.m. ET on Thurs., June 23, to the winning weigh-in announcement at Frontenac Park on Sunday, June 26, to participating in the family-friendly Elite Series Expo, all activities and venues are free and open to the public.
