Had a beautiful Saturday for the Boats Unlimited NC Team Tournament Bass Trail qualifier #6 at Falls  Lake. 73 teams enjoyed the beautiful weather, a great day of catching bass and great fellowship! It was about  67 degrees that morning with hardly no wind and around 87 that afternoon with 10 to 15 mph winds out of theSSE. Water temps ranged from 74 to 78 depending on the area fished.The team of Billy Bledsoe & Brian McDonald, bladed their way to the winners circle catching 5 bass  weighing 27.68 lbs. The seasoned team won $1,300 for 1st, TWT 1st place of $1,015 and the Boats Unlimited  NC 1st Place Bonus of $750 for a grand total of $3,065. McDonald said most of their fish were caught onspinnerbaits. The winning team edged out the 2nd place team by only 7 one hundreths of a pound!!Chuck Byrd & Seth Ellis took 2nd with 5 bass weighing 27.61 lbs winning $795, 2nd Place TWT of $435 and  1st Place Big Fish (7.75 lbs.) money $1,008 for at nice $2,238 in earnings! 232 fish were weighed in for a total of 736 pounds for an average of over 3 lbs. each. We had numerous fish  over 6 lbs. and all the fish looked very healthy. Hot baits for the day were spinnerbaits, worm rigs & shallow  running crankbaits. Most of the fish were caught in less than 6′ of water.I want to thank all the anglers that participated and all our sponsors that support this trail. The next Boats  Unlimited NC Team Tournament Bass Trail tournament will be at Jordan Lake on May 31st, out of  Flemingtown Landing Wildlife Ramp.
